COLLABORATIVE FASHION BRIEF

For this brief we were required to collaborate on a fashion brief in which we were photographing for brands for a magazine. We were given FCUK and nylon magazine. From the research we collected based on Nylon magazine, we found the imagery to be quite street influenced with a variation of monochrome and colour finishes. Therefore, we chose various urban areas to shoot in and presented our images in a way that visually conforms to the magazine as a brand. Nylon uses xstrong, bold colours in its masthead, mainly pinks and yellows to demonstrate its feminine content and so we also conformed to this in our title pages. The typography is generally bold and sans serif, often interacting visually with the image by overlapping or bleeding the borders and the shape of the image is altered in doing this. The magazine consists of a  high percentage of advertisements facing  article pages or a fellow advert due to its fashion/beauty genre. All of the elements that we found most prominent in Nylon were considered when presenting the images within the magazine. In doing this, we paid great attention to the continuity of Nylon magazine whilst ensuring, at the same time, we presented an accurate image of French Connection.
